August 2022
Dear Green Level Students & Families,
My name is Rebecca Craig and I am the theatre arts teacher and director here at Green Level High School. I’d like to start by inviting your student(s) to apply to be a student director or stage manager for our fall 2022 play!
Before applying, here are some important things to note.
What is a Student Director?
A Student Director helps the Director in creating the show. They might be required to block a few scenes, assist actors with character development, review blocking or songs with actors, help run errands for the director, and oversee the designs for different technical elements. The Student Director will work directly with Ms. Craig in this important leadership role. If chosen for this position, you will be taught and guided through this process.
What is a Stage Manager?
A Stage Manager does a variety of things. They take attendance, keep track of paperwork, take blocking and rehearsal notes, and so much more! A Stage Manager also acts as a leader for the stage crew. This role is not easy, but it is very important! Whoever is chosen will work directly with Ms. Craig in this important leadership role. If chosen for this position, you will be taught and guided through this process.
